Kayla Burkhart is the Grain Division Manager at CHS SunPrairie, a locally owned cooperative with global ties. In her role, Kayla is responsible for managing grain purchases, sales and logistics for a business unit that exceeds $200 million in grain sales. Kayla also provides sound grain marketing advice to produce through morning market commentary, futures/hedging/options presentations, office visits, farm visits and calls.
Kayla was born and raised on her family farm outside of Pullman, Washington. After high school Kayla moved to Bozeman, Montana where she graduated with her BS in Agriculture Business from Montana State University. Upon graduation she accepted a management training position with CHS, Inc. As part of her program Kayla was to spend six months at a CHS country location, which brought her to Minot. Upon completion of her training program Kayla accepted a position as a Grain Merchandiser at CHS SunPrairie in Minot.
Kayla is currently a member of Rural Leadership North Dakota Class VII and a Dale Carnegie Graduate. In her personal time Kayla enjoys travelling the world with her family, camping, boating, hiking and skiing.
